The CT legislature has passed new Guidelines as law over the past two years.  The State Department of Education has offered a sample model to districts, but districts have the freedom to create their own TEVAL plan, as long as it meets the legislated Guidelines.  In fact, the district must submit a plan each year.  CEA is actively working to clarify best practices and the SWEA teachers on your PDEC are working to shape district practice to support teachers as practitioners, who make professional decisions to improve their practice and student performance.
